Overview
The use of this website and of our services constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of them, please do not use this website or our services.
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to access or use this website or to purchase any product or service offered through it.
By submitting an order or a payment you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms, and you agree to be legally bound by them. They form the entire agreement between you and acmcclurg.com.
Definitions
- “Website” means all online content on the acmcclurg.com pages.
- “Customer”, “you” and “yours” mean you, and any other person submitting an order to acmcclurg.com on your behalf.
- “Company”, “we” and “our” mean acmcclurg.com.
- “Product” or “services” means all services and products provided by acmcclurg.com to a customer in accordance with their order.
- “Order” means an order made by telephone or email to purchase services or products. Orders are confirmed by payment via cheque, credit card, cash receipt, bank wire transfer, Western Union or PayPal.
Returns
Because of the nature of what we produce, we do not accept returns on fulfilled orders.
Where changes are needed to meet the quality standard, in editing and proofreading particularly, a revision process exists to make them. If a fulfilled product does not meet the requirements as specified when the order was placed, we will carry out an internal review and either revise or recreate the work at no additional cost.
Revisions
Each package carries its own revision policy, set out in that package's description. Revisions are provided within five to ten days of the order entering “waiting for customer approval”; the exact window depends on the package ordered.
Revisions begin once the work has been presented for review. At that point you may request changes directly by email to your project manager, against the requirements given at the start.
You are always free to make changes yourself to anything we deliver, before or after publication. Work is delivered in an editable format and you own the rights to it.
Refunds
Refunds are handled case by case, and we will work with you to resolve the underlying problem first.
Where a refund is processed it takes between five and fifteen days to reach you, is returned through the original payment method, and carries a processing fee of USD 250 or 5% of the order value, whichever is higher. Confirmation is sent to the email address used at checkout.
If you change your mind
- Before the project begins: a full refund, at any point before a writer or editor has started work.
- Within one hour of placing an order: a full refund, for any reason.
- After the project has started and at least one round of revision has been taken: a partial refund of up to 5%, reflecting work already carried out.
If the delivery is not what was agreed
A refund can be claimed once the revision process has been exhausted. We offer unlimited revisions, and will reassign or rewrite the work to meet the brief. Where we still cannot deliver what was asked for, a refund is processed by mutual agreement on a set percentage, in cases where the delivery is substantially off the brief.
If we deliver late
We work to the delivery date agreed. Where we fail to meet it, and after at least three attempts to contact us, a refund is processed once documentary evidence establishes that the delay was ours.
Time limit on refund claims
Refunds must be claimed within ten days of first delivery, where no revisions have been taken. Claims made after that window are not accepted. The deadline applying to your order is confirmed when the order is placed.
Where a refund will not be issued
- Delay caused by minor technical faults, grammar, typing, word count, missing references, which are settled by correction, partial refund or credit against future work.
- Delay caused at the customer's end.
- Low word count alone.
Changes to services and prices
Prices and discounts are subject to change without notice, and we may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We are not liable to you or to any third party for a modification, price change, suspension or discontinuation.
